PLD / PHX Lawyer Dir
Phoenix Lawyer Directory has now been live for a couple of weeks. I looks as if the search engines have gotten a hold of it and know it exists. I have a reCaptcha authentication on the get listed page which is the first time I have put image verification in a website. It was pretty easy to put into place and get working. The only short fall of this image verification is the css limitations on it. They have set up only a couple of standard looks for the thing. There are some css alterations you can make to it but you are limited to a fairly large reCaptcha box on your form. Thats the price you pay for free stuff. Either way it makes the email form for potential lawyer listing in phoenix secure from any robots subitting garbage to the site. If you are a lawyer in the phoenix area please go to the Phoenix Lawyer Directory and submit your practice to the website. Website design for the site was done by www.PierceDesignAZ.com. Oh yeah and the Arizona Cardinals are in the NFC championship game. Crazy.
No Apologies is Back
The No Apologies crew is back in the country safe after an eventfully successful production. For the nest couple months they will be tediously logging tapes and then writing the story before the arduous task of digital editing. Capture Features is pushing for a rough cut to be out appropriately by July 4th. Stay in touch with the production and subsequent teaser videos on their No Apologies blog.

Phoenix Lawyer Directory
I have just published a new directory specifically for lawyers practicing in the Phoenix area. The purpose is to provide users with a non biased list of reputable lawyers to choice from. Listings are free as long as a reciprocal link is given to the directory. This will theatrically boast page ranks for the directory and the lawyer's website which are listed there. If you are looking for a lawyer or have a practice you would like to get listed. Go to the Phoenix Lawyer Directory.

Blogging & Audioclaves
Joe and Morgan, the No Apologies crew, have a new blog set up the movies website. They will be able to write to it and update it while they are shooting in Asia. They are leaving in a week to continue production on their independent film in Thailand, Vietnam and Laos. Should be a fun trip for them. Good luck to them and be safe. To support their film check out the No Apologies goodies in their store.
Flagstaff Downtown
The Flagstaff web cam is a great place to get an up to date look at downtown Flagstaff's heritage square. The web cam is controllable and just about anytime of day I visit the site someone is looking around downtown Flagstaff with it. The pan on the camera is almost 360 degrees and can even get a shot of the peaks. I usually go there to get an idea of the weather around town before I head out on my bike. There is also a less popular route 66 web cam. The website is run by Align North Media group who sells advertising space on the site. Getting a link on that site is a good idea for SEO(search engine optimization) purposes for Flagstaff businesses.

Running XP on New iMac
I was tired of making trips from my house to find a computer running windows. Only to test a page on picky internet explorer to find I didn't fix my glitch. So today I finally got a copy of Windows XP and got it running on my new Intel powered iMac. It was much easier than I anticipated. I was expecting to have to load my console utility and run some code with no idea what the outcome might be. Instead I downloaded a copy of Parallels Desktop and got a 15 day trial license. From there it was pretty much a click through like most Mac software installs are. I can even run each system on its own separate screen with seemless transitions. I am currently running 1 gig of RAM and I think its going to be imperative to upgrade. Processor power was more than enough on a 2.4g Intel core 2 duo. As soon as I saw it start up Windows XP I knew I was going to pay the $80 for a full license of parallels desktop. No more cross-browser issues for me.

Reed's Haberdashery
Capture Features is trying to raise funding for the production of their independent film No Apologies The Education of Gary Reed Meyer. To do so they have set up a store on the new website called Reed's Haberdashery. On the site you can purchase a DVD short of the movie, a Pull the Pin shirt, a Reed's No Apologies Beverage Glass, a Bomb Tie, A Rhinestone Grenade, or a four bung Absinthe Decanter. Pretty sweet stuff. Check it out and donate to the future of this independent film. Reed's Haberdashery.
